Taylor Joy said the move from Buenos aires to Victoria was tough and she did not take the time to learn English and was hoping to go home to Argentina. Hill House was the new school she had to attend following her departure from Northlands. She enrolled later at Queen's Gate School in which she was a ballet student and took part in school-based plays. When she was 16, she left school in order to concentrate fully on acting. From a young age Taylor-Joy was aware of her desire to work as an actress. her goals were realized when she received a modeling contract from Sarah Doukas the founder of Storm Management.
